No sympathy
I have no sympathy for Moyes- he was paid multi millions of
pounds to do a job he didn’t earn. He is just incapable to bring real success
at this level.
Fergie didn't take over champions, he took over a club in
dire situation, with a non-existent youth academy, unprofessional players and a
culture of failure. He turned that around, and obviously it took him some time.
Just because the fans that asked for him to be sacked then were wrong, doesn't
mean that the fans asking for Moyes to be sacked are wrong too. The two are
completely irrelevant of each other.
Moyes took over champions of England, who had just won the
Premier League with 11 points. And no one, not a single pundit or layman that I
can think of, was complaining about the squad then. Was this not the same squad
that won the league, plus Mata, Fellaini and Januzaj? No one was saying how
weak the squad was last year, suddenly everyone and his uncle and his brother
and his grandfather are talking about how weak this squad is? OK, for the sake
of the argument, let's say you're right... But isn't this squad at least
stronger than Everton's squad? Than Spurs'? and Arsenal's? Sure, there are some
weaknesses, but surely any objective person could see that we still have a very
strong squad which should be, at least, in the top 4. All teams that are above
us, despite weaker squads, and there is one simple reason for that. I was
literally laughing at Moyes’ tiki-taka attempt vs Everton - what was he
thinking?
United still have got a great squad, just need the right man to come in and put all the pieces together.
