In and around Kalinchowk Temple

Kalinchowk Temple in Dolakha is an awesome spot for killer views, a bit of a hike, and some spiritual vibes. The temple, dedicated to the goddess Kalinchowk Bhagwati, is perched at around 3,800 m and offers stunning views of snow-covered peaks like Gaurishankar and Langtang on a clear day.

We kicked off our day bright and early, driving through winding mountain roads with beautiful terraced fields and charming villages. The ride takes you up to Kuri village, and from there, you hike up to the temple. The higher we climbed, the more breathtaking the views got, though the weather was hazy, so we missed out on seeing those peaks.

At the top, the temple is pretty simple but surrounded by colorful prayer flags, adding to the peaceful vibe. The 360-degree view from up there is incredible—you can see mountains in every direction. We spent some time exploring, snapping photos, and soaking in the fresh mountain air before heading back down.

Check out these photos from our day trip, capturing the beauty of the journey, the epic views, and the serene atmosphere at Kalinchowk Temple. It’s a perfect day trip if you’re looking for a quick escape with a bit of everything—scenery, culture, and fresh air.
