Budhigandaki trek


Over the course of three days, we walked roughly 50 kilometers to reach our project site—a trek that turned out to be the most scenic and enjoyable route I’ve ever taken for a hydroelectric project. This path, running alongside the Budhigandaki River, is well-known as part of the famous Larke Pass Trek.

While trekkers typically take their time to cover this distance, we pushed through in just three days. The pace was exhausting, but the breathtaking landscapes along the way made it more than worth the effort. Towering mountains, serene riverbanks, and the natural beauty of the region provided the perfect backdrop for our journey, easing the physical strain and making the entire experience unforgettable.

Though the goal was to reach the project area, the journey itself felt like an adventure, offering both a sense of accomplishment and an appreciation for the stunning environment that surrounds this part of the country.
