Tedious traffic jam

If you’re traveling in or out of Nagdhunga, the main entrance to Kathmandu, getting stuck in traffic is almost a given. If you don’t hit traffic, consider yourself lucky. While there are several government plans to fix this daily issue, none have actually started yet. The condition of this major highway, the only one that connects the capital with the rest of the country, is terrible.

The road is cluttered with buildings and structures that have been built too close, making the already narrow road even tighter. To make things worse, many drivers don’t follow lane rules, which adds to the mess.

There’s talk of future projects to ease traffic, like road expansions, linking with tunnel road and better management, but nothing has happened yet. For now, we just have to hope things will improve soon. Fingers crossed for a smoother ride ahead!
